6-8 Watergate Street, Chester

In a city like Chester, finding new life for vacant commercial buildings can be challenging. What worked for past tenants often doesn’t meet the needs of the future.

The question is: how do we reinvent these spaces while navigating commercial, planning, and listed building constraints to give them a viable future?

This was the challenge with this project. By working alongside the client and agents Kenney Moore and Mason Owen, we secured planning and listed building consent for a retail unit tailored to today’s needs, with holiday accommodation above—maximizing value and potential for the client.
